“Tee for Two” features seven time Academy Award winners Tom and Jerry. This image is from the 1947 MGM cartoon short “Tee for Two”, the first Tom and Jerry cartoon to be produced about a sport. Tom is looking for the results of his drive as Jerry continues to be the tee, maybe too well.
It seems, in their near 60-year relationship, that no matter what Tom does, Jerry is always around to mock him. This is the essence of what one of the most long-lasting cartoon pairings in animation brings to Tom and Jerry.
Sometimes called serigraph cels, the serigraphy process involves silk-screening each individual color to the cel. Every distinct shade is a separate screen and pass, flawlessly reproducing each color.
